Tip: Export with media and upload the .zip file to see images, stickers, and videos inline.
- Open WhatsApp and go to the chat you want to export.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) at the top right.
- Tap More → Export chat.
- Choose "Include media" (up to 10,000 messages + media) or "Without media" (up to 40,000 messages, text only).
- Share the exported .zip file to yourself (e.g., via Google Drive, email, or Files app).
- Come back here and upload the .zip file — images, stickers, and videos will appear inline!
If you exported without media, upload the _chat.txt file directly. Media will show as "Media omitted" placeholders.
WhatsApp Web / Desktop allows exporting individual chats as well.
- Open WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) or the WhatsApp Desktop app.
- Open the chat you want to export.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the top right of the chat.
- Click Export chat.
- Choose "Attach media" or "Without media".
- Save the exported .zip or .txt file to your computer.
- Upload it here to view your chat!
Tip: iPhone exports use a slightly different date format — the viewer handles both formats automatically.

- Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
- Choose "Include Media" or "Without Media".
- Share the exported file to yourself via AirDrop, Files, email, etc.
- Upload it here to view your chat!
iPhone exports are usually a .zip file containing a .txt file and any attached media.
